Determination Will Lead to Satisfaction

“You’ve got to get up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction.” – George Lorimer

How would you describe your state of mind? Would “determined” be the word that is used?

What was your state of mind when you went to bed last night? Would “satisfied” be the word that you use?

The root of determination is intention. Without “intention” the world has a tendency to determine your path. What happens to you determines your path. You respond to the pressures of the day. When there is no pressure you drift.

Thus, the advice here is to be “determined”:

  • Have a list of things to do.
  • Have a goal you are striving to attain.
  • Have a grand purpose which drives you each day.
  • Have a place to go.
  • Have people you are striving to teach, coach or influence.

Satisfaction and contentment are states that accompany the process of life. Life lived with determination will allow us a steady sense of satisfaction and contentment.
