Safety Depends On It

“Success is a few simple disciplines practiced every day.”

Safety takes discipline. To be safe, we must form safe habits.

One habit is that we must be rigorous in identifying and eliminating unsafe conditions.

To do this effectively, we all must be on the mark. Every set of eyes has to be aware. Every voice has to be active.

Let’s don’t assume maintenance will find it eventually. Point it out immediately.

Let’s don’t assume only the safety committee points out issues. Take on the responsibility your self. Blow the horn. Lock it out. Mark it with safety tape. Don’t return to work until it’s fixed.

Injuries are wasteful. We lose production. We incur costs. Lives are changed.

Speak up when you see risky stuff. Your safety depends on it.
