PURPOSE DRIVEN PROGRESS

Progress is always preceded by change.Β  What are you challenging right now?Β  What change are you driving? Β

As each day starts fresh, we ought to consider how we can get better.Β Β Considering how we ought to improve each day is a process involving intentional acts. Β

One act is an assessment.Β  Did the day’s activity achieve what was intended?Β  Did you and your team accomplish the intended outcomes? Β

What worked and is worth repeating?Β  What needs tweaking?Β  What needs to be abandoned? Β

A second act is a reflection.Β  It’s a bit different than an assessment.Β  It’s the process of sitting silently for the day.Β  It’s a passive act.Β  You pause in silence and hear what your subconscious wants to say.Β  It’sΒ a divine act where inspiration wanders in.Β Β Thoughts occur to you that would enhance your pursuits. Β

A final act is you create a plan for the next day.Β  You identify the goal you have.Β  You identify the method you will try.Β  You fine-tune the approach.Β  You imagine the activity.Β  You target the challenge.Β  You identify the change you want to affect. Β

You rarely drift to improvement.Β  You purposefully drive it.Β
