We were pleased to welcome back to our team this year Mike Gupton of North Carolina. A veteran Army warrior, Mike was called to active duty in 2008. Over the last five years he has completed four tours of duty to Afghanistan, serving in Kandahar, Bagram, Paktya, Nuristan Province, Kabul, Kunduz Province and Kunar Province. His extensive military service also includes the training of more than 5,000 troops for deployment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
Mike sent me a note yesterday recommending an article. He said: “I know you send out quite a few notes on leadership. I usually end up thinking about some awesome leaders that inspired our teams in the worst of times in Afghanistan.”
So, when someone who has led and recognizes incredible leadership recommends a leadership article, I’m smart enough to share it.

It’s a good list. Recommended by a warrior.
