What are you reading these days?
It’s been said “leaders are readers”. As a compulsive reader, I subscribe to the thought.
Some folks get turned off to reading in school. What we are asked to read doesn’t excite us. The concept of reading for enjoyment doesn’t ring true. The temptation of television, the internet or video games fill our time.
If you traditionally have been a non-reader, these are great times if you want to change. Almost every book printed is available in CD or can be downloaded. Many can be borrowed at local libraries.
For me, reading-books, newspapers, articles and blogs- keeps me fresh. It introduces new ideas. It reinforces fundamentals.
If you’re not a reader, rethink your strategy. Find a way to acquire new information. It will increase your effectiveness.
