The Power of Doing – A Lesson from Andy Stanley

β€œIt’s doing, not hoping, that makes a difference.

It’s doing, not wishing, that makes a difference.

It’s doing, not planning, that makes a difference.

It’s doing, not knowing, that makes a difference.”

Andy Stanley shared this lesson about what to do when life isn’t what you want it to be. His focus? β€œDoing.” It was a straightforward message:

First, he urges us to stop doing the things that hold us back. We all have habits or actions that don’t contribute to our best selves or our best teams. He reminds us to recognize and stop them.

Second, we must start doing the things we know will contribute to our success. That’s the reason behind the statements at the beginning of this note.

So often, we hope and wish for a better situation. We create plans for improvement. Yet, we often don’t reach these better situations because we never take action to make them real.

You know the path to a better situation. You can do it. Get started.
