“What the New Year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the New Year!”
My cousin Nancy Schneider posted this. It’s the truth.
To be sure, the year ahead will have all sorts of things happening beyond our control. Will we and those we care about be healthy? Will there be pandemics, or hurricanes, or economic collapses? Will we win in the marketplace as we face stiff competition? Will your family please you as they encounter their opportunities?
All in all, we will each be dealt cards this year, and it’ll be our job to navigate.
So, will you be working on learning something new or refining a skill? A changing world requires we engage in change to meet what comes next.
Are you building your relationships? We navigate changing environments with family and teammates we can trust. Teams navigate challenges better than soloists.
Are you starting the year with intentions, or are you wait-and-see? People with intentions create better outcomes than those with none.
People who “happen to the world” are known for bringing things to the world. What are you bringing to 2023?
