SAFETY EFFORTS FOR THE 4TH OF JULY…

Not sure about your plans for the 4th but Richard Stinson who directs safety efforts for the treating team sent this out.  It’s worth repeating:

As we roll into the 4th of July, let’s  take a moment to drop a few reminders about celebrating our freedom responsibly.  Yes, you can be responsible and still have fun!

Traffic:

  • The roads will be packed for the next few days
  • Watch your speed
  • Put the phone down
  • Maintain situational awareness

Drinking & Driving:

  • Don’t do it
  • Call a cab, Uber, Lyft, or any other available service
  • Most establishments will call a cab for you, just ask!
  • Don’t risk your career
  • Don’t risk your family, or someone else’s
  • It isn’t worth it

Fireworks:

  • Meant to be used outside……no brainer
  • Make sure you aren’t going to catch anything on fire
  • Be respectful of your surroundings/neighbors

On the water:

  • Waterways will be busy, be prepared
  • Do not drink and operate any watercraft
  • PFD’s are required for every person on the boat
  • Wear the PFD’s while underway
  • Stay vigilant of another watercraft
  • Be courteous at boat ramps

Stay safe out there!
